- The perimeter defines the area of application of the Alpine Convention.
The perimeter dataset was prepared based on the specification in the Annex to the Framework Convention. Any major changes of the administrative units, e.g. merging and division of municipalities and similar changes, were not implemented in this dataset. The Annex to the Framework Convention remains the only legally binding definition of the territory of application of the Alpine Convention.
